In June, 2026, AVzounds went to Israel and met some amazing people. In Palestine we interviewed Fadwa who runs The Sunflower Association for Human and Environment Protection where Palestinian women and girls can develop skills in growing food and other skills and crafts whilst dealing with the trauma of living under heavy manners in Al Arm in the West Bank where the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) frequently raid houses in the middle of the night to arrest people, where there are few jobs and much youth poverty. We decided to set some of her words to music so please listen to the piece, it is only 12 minutes long.
