In June, 2026, AVzounds went to Israel and met some amazing people. In Palestine we interviewed Fadwa who runs The Sunflower Association for Human and Environment Protection in Al Arm in the West Bank where Palestinian women and girls can develop skills in growing food and other skills and crafts whilst dealing with the trauma of living under heavy manners policing. The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) raid houses in the middle of the night to arrest people; there are few jobs and much youth poverty. We set some of her words to music so please listen to the piece, it is free and only 12 minutes long.
