The Willamette-Laja Twinning Project is a partnership between communities and organizations in Oregon, United States, and Guanajuato, Mexico. This initiative focuses on:
"Uniting youth, educators, habitat restoration practitioners, and the birding community for deep cultural connections and sustained conservation of our shared migratory species and habitats" (https://www.willamette-laja.org/home).
Within this partnership exists the cross-cultural Aves Compartidas Program, providing ecological knowledge in classroom and outdoor lessons to third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students in Guanajuato and Oregon.
