I ventured to the park twice this last week. I went for my usual run around the park, took in the beautiful changing tree colors, and soaked up the sunlight and warm weather before it changes. I went to Wash Park today for a sorority picnic, and the views were gorgeous as always, and the weather was perfect. It was sunny and warm. Each time I went this week, the park was flooded with people and dogs enjoying the perfect weather.
Through my many visits to Washington Park, I have observed that the community surrounding the park has utilized the park and have connected to the park. The community spends a good bit of time walking around with friends, family, and animals. Lots of people sit in the grass, on benches, or on the water's edge and just connect with the nature surrounding the park. They spend time in nature just reflecting and connecting, just like the readings recommend people to do. I picture fewer people coming as much as the weather gets colder, but I imagine the park is used more in the spring again. I feel the park is a great place to connect with nature, and people around me agree. I predicted the park with have a good long future and people will continue to go for many years as the park is gorgeous and offers a wide variety of views and things to do.
