Outside of this class, the only times I use generative AI is to reccommend me new books/games to play. I mostly question it about very specific genres I'm looking for. Sometimes, this can backfire because it isn't aware of unpopular titles that people aren't discussing on popular reddit forums.
I try to limit my Ai usage as much as possible after educating myself on the topic, but I do believe in the usefulness of Ai. I used old Ai prompts as I believe in reduce and recycle... even if it is digital (lol).
Asked: What cp-op games are like Cult of The Lamb?
Result: The Ai generated me a table of games giving descriptions on how the games were like COTL and the co-op details.
Pros: Simplistic and easy to understand what the games are about and how they relate to the desired game.
Cons: A lot of the games did not capture the same feel of COTL, and were instead just multiplayer games with a co-op aspect.
Asked: Can you help me come up with a diet plan?
Result: The Ai generated me a bullet point list of questions for me to answer in order for it to construct me a diet plan that caters to me.
Pros: Will generate a list that adheres to my likes and dislikes and any allergies I might have. Very personal and selective to your necessities and goals.
Cons: I can't identify any real cons to this besides maybe this being bypassed to fuel someone's bad eating habits.
Ai is incredibly useful in helping to generate ideas and goals for person-to-person needs. Compared to past google searches that might not produce the answer to a specific question, generative Ai like ChatGPT helps a user find answers to questions too complicated/specific for a google search to answer.
