My Resume
Career Prep and Networking Experience
I was able to have the opportunity to attend a career fair for the college of agriculture, allowing me to interact with business within the agriculture field. This fair led me to various conversations but my favorite being my interaction with Cal-Maine Foods. This business concentrated of eggs and everything with them. All the way from California, to Maine, they sell eggs everywhere. They even fine sellers for the broken eggs to have a place to go to, so nothing is wasted. The Career Fair was an easy was for the College of Agriculture students to get connected and engage with all different types of business and Oppurtunites to get educated about potential jobs and further Oppurtunites. It was also a chance to find good networking considering this is our specialized field. Getting your name out to all these different businesses could benefit you in the future in many ways.Â
I was a little nervous before hand just because I have never attended a career fair, so I didn't know much of what to expect, but after being there for a while and getting used to it, I got pretty comfortable and had to problem walking up to anyone starting up a conversation. My advice to people that were in my shoes would to not be scared. People are there for you to ask question and get to know you, so they want you to go up and ask!
