First-Semester Reflection

If I could describe my first semester at LSU in one word, it would be challenging. Looking back at my first day compared to where I am at now, college is harder than what I anticipated it to be. However, I am very proud of how much I have learned within this semester on habits that will help me succeed. With all the challenges I have faced throughout this semester, I have learned to face obstacles by making time for them instead of procrastination them. That was one of my biggest lessons of the semester because I learned the more time I make for my work, the better it will turn out. Something I am proud of from this semester is my shift in mindset. I have learned how to stay on top of my work which has led me to be more successful.

If I could give advice to an incoming student, I would stress procrastinating and staying on top of all of your work. It is really easy to get behind on work because there are so many distractions in college and making sure everything is done, with time well spent on it, then having your fun is the key.
