About Me

Introduction:

My Name is Ava Lawrence, and I am a Textiles Apparel and Merchandising Major with a concentration in Design. I am from Ennis, Texas, right next to Dallas where I truly got to explore my passion for fashion through the city.  Growing up, I have always had an eye for fashion and throwing things together, seeing what I believe looks the best. When looking at college, I knew no doubt I was going into Fashion, and I strongly believed Louisiana State University was the best place for me to further my education in fashion. 

SMART Goals:

Personal Goals-

My Short-term personal goal is to make as many connections as possible I can at LSU within the four years that I'm a student. 

My Long-term personal goal is to graduate a degree in TAM and move to New York for a job within the fashion field.

Academic Goals-

My Short-term academic goal is to make all A's fall and spring semester, also while attending the most events I am able to in my sorority. 

My Long-term academic goal is to end up on the dean's list all 4 years of college. 

Career Goals-

My Short-term career goal is to land an internship in New York for Fashion within the next two years.

My Long-term career goal is to make a name for myself after college in New York within the Fashion Field while also making as many connections as I can. 

Personality Assessment

Upon taking the 16personality assessment, I learned my personality is a Campaigner. A Campaigner is a vibrant force of enthusiasm, creativity, and idealism. My mind is a constant whirlwind of ideas and possibilities, each more exciting than the last. I approach life with an infectious energy that draws others to me, my charisma and genuine interest in people make me a natural connector and inspirational force.

Strengths

With my results, my top three strengths are being an Adaptable Problem Solver, Enthusiastic Motivator, and a Skilled Networker.

Adaptable Problem Solver:

I view myself as being an efficient and effective person and often times problems are bound to occur, when conflict arises, I prefer to immediately jump in to action to find a solution as soon as possible.

Enthusiastic Motivator:

I use my enthusiasm motivator skills to motivate and push those around me to always reach for that certain goal or do that certain thing they have always wanted to do but need the extra push to do it. 

Skilled Networker:

I use being a skilled networker strength by simply being a people person, it never hurts going out of your way to introduce yourself to someone, and then later having that connection.
