I have learned so much during my undergraduate, courses that have had the biggest impact on me were Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Theory & Practice. Those courses challenge the way you think and make it impossible to come to a decision without giving it proper thought. This is something that will be imperative when I get my first job. Making mistakes are something that can not be done and these courses have enhanced the way I think about a multitude of topics.
Almost 70% of North Carolina is considered to be rural. Those areas do not have access to public trash pickup like those who live within city limits. That was the problem I set out to solve in ENT3060. I created the company A&C Junk Removal to solve this problem for those that live in the "high country". I was able to find a service that people need and solve a problem at the same time. I was able to take what I learned about creating a business with purpose and help those around me to create lasting impact.
In this marketing class our group was tasked with creating a product that did not yet exist. The purpose of this was so that we would get the full experience of creating a product. From the formulation of the product as an idea, to the creation, market research that goes into it and finally pricing the product to be completive in the market. We were able to create a product that solves a need for the consumer and was priced competitively so that we were able to reach a broad range of customer segments.
