When you go to a therapist the first time, go prepared. Bring a list of items that make you think you're Autistic or have Asperger's that you can share with whomever's doing the testing. Have stories about your history that demonstrate these traits, going back to childhood. Make sure you make the point to the therapist, from the get go, that YOU are in control, not them, and that issues of Asperger's and Autism need to be at the forefront of the therapy. If the therapist shows resistance, explain that if that's not going to happen, this isn't the therapy for you.
Good for getting your Asperger's and/or Autism correctly diagnosed. Takes most insurance.

It's one thing to read DSM diagnostic criteria or an Autism Parent's lamentations, and another to really hear us as we describe what it feels like to _be_ autistic. Asperger's from the Inside: "My name is Paul and I discovered I have Aspergers at age 30. Yes, I know, I don't look autistic. That's exactly why I started this blog, because if I didn't show you, you would never know! In this channel I endeavour to show you what Autism and Aspergers look like in real people and to also give you some insight as to what's happening on the inside. I upload a new video every weekend with some bonus content thrown in mid-week too."
