Orbital Interface Lamp

The prompt for this project was to simply design a light fixture. I wanted to create a lamp that could live in two realms, one that could be a bright work light but also a calm reading light. The result is a lamp that transforms by the rotation of the shade that can either diffuse or expose the light. Below are some photos of the different mechanical positions of the light.
