Last object design project at Cornish, design a shoe. Unfortunately we were given very little time. So I used that as a challenge, what kind of situation would require a shoe to be made really fast and easily? So I decided to design a pair of slippers for people who have been displaced by natural disasters. Much like how people 3D printed visor holders for essential workers during this pandemic, I created a file that people can laser cut using household cardboard scraps. The shoe requires nothing other than cardboard and is actually quite comfortable to where around the house.
