"The Togani are fierce warriors. Their bows are strong and accurate. Their war clubs can crush a Tigron's skull as easily as a Meerk's. Had they faced an opponent that was not Makhor, they might have conquered the world. Maybe we would all be better off if we had wiped them off the map. Then again, if accounts of the power wielded by their Keepers is accurate, perhaps wiping them out was never truly an option."
Small blurb
Generally human-like features. Long limbs and digits, typically lean and slender builds. Elongated heads with prominent brows (a third eye in their lower forehead).
Age the same as humans. Noble savages to a certain extent. Their belief in consuming the flesh of fallen foes to consume their power paints a pretty grim picture of them for outsiders.
Societies are organized along similar lines of Aztec or Mayan culture. The Togani as a whole have an obsession with tracking celestial/heavenly bodies, and have built great cities at opposite ends of the planet (east and west) along the equator: The City of the Night (Huacan Yohuali; home to the Keeper of the Stars) and The City of the Sun (Altepetl Tonaltzintli; home to the Keeper of the Sun). Past conflicts with the Makhor have resulted in a bitter rivalry that still persists despite the tenuous peace between the two today.
All Togani share a great reverence for the sun and stars, though which city they live in greatly determines to what extent they favor one or the other. Those on the receiving end view the Togani practice of consuming slain foes as a great desecration, while the Togani themselves view it as honoring their opponents in some capacity—their enemy's strength is acknowledged and deemed worthy of taking for oneself.
