iFixIt is the world’s largest online repair community focused on helping thousands of people to fix their broken stuff every day.  They offer thousands of free repair guides for thousands of different devices. These guides combine high-resolution photos with detailed, step-by-step instructions, and they’re vetted by their team of experts.

Kane County developed a map-style directory of Repair Professionals for local residents to find local businesses that repair common household goods. The categories for which they currently have directories are 1) Clothing, shoes and jewelry, 2) Electronics (computers, cell phones, TVs, etc.) ​and 3) Furniture, indoor use appliances and outdoor use appliances (lawn care​ equipment, small generators, etc.)​
