Augmented Reality presents an amazing opportunity for the K-12 classroom, for students to interact with content in new, meaningful ways.

Lindsay is a Publisher of post-secondary STEM resources at Top Hat and has been working in the educational tech ed space across North America for over 15 years. Technology is just an enabler. As educators and publishers, we need to put our students in the driver's seat and show them they are creators. AR is innovative tool to enhance learning and awaken curiosity.
Paula
Paula is the Instructional Media and EdTech Consultant for 117 schools in Calgary. Her passion is using technology with purpose and to find ways to instill innovative mindsets in students and teachers. Augmented Reality was intriguing for her to navigate as this is something that can be used in the classroom or outdoors. She found there were many barriers with AR like cost, devices, security etc. However, she believes if you can overcome those obstacles, AR can open your students' minds to endless possibilities to explore beyond the walls of your classroom.
Shirley
Shirley is an Industrial Designer. She studied Industrial Design (MS) at Beijing Institute of Technology, China, and Kansei Science at University of Tsukuba, Japan. She has over ten years of experience in teaching Industrial Design at BIT. She has also done product design for a product manufacturer and a design company in China before starting teaching.
