For this class, I had the opportunity to participate in and lead two of our Adult Onsite clinics. I was able to create and implement treatment plans for two of our clients. I was also able to document the treatment sessions afterwards. I learned many things while observing my other classmates, as well as when I was able to lead my own sessions. During the session that I lead, I was able to learn how to interact with the clients and how to keep them focused on the activity. I learned what kinds of activities worked, and what kinds of activities did not. I believe that this experience will be incredibly valuable for me in my future practice as an Occupational Therapy practitioner because it has taught me how to create treatment plans, implement them, and document the treatment sessions, which is essentially everything that this career entails. Overall, I truly enjoyed observing and leading treatment sessions, and I hope to have more experiences like these in the future.
