In this class, I had the opportunity to observe our on-campus clinics and complete two SOAP notes for two different treatment sessions that I observed. This was an incredible experience and I learned a lot about how to create custom treatments for every client. This knowledge will be very valuable for me in the future when I start working as an Occupational Therapy practitioner, because it is important to be familiar with what to work on with different clients based on their diagnosis and preferred occupation. It was also useful for me to learn how to write SOAP notes, because Occupational Therapy practitioners must know how to effectively document a treatment session.
