This year marks a pivotal milestone. The 2026 General Elections will be one of the largest and most consequential in the entire history of the Sanggunian. Beyond electing our next set of student leaders, your vote will directly shape the very foundation of our community. This year's ballot features:

Sectoral Referenda

A crucial vote on the formal recognition of three dependent sectors, ensuring broader and more inclusive representation for all students.

Constitutional Plebiscite

A deciding vote on proposed amendments to the Constitution that will redefine how our student government operates and serves the student body.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the General Elections?
- This is the electoral exercise where all Sanggunian positions for the upcoming academic year are open, with the exception of the Freshmen Course Representatives.
Who is eligible to vote?
- Participation is open to all incoming sophomores, juniors, seniors, and super seniors.
How do I cast my vote?
- The Ateneo COMELEC will employ onsite voting through physical poll stations and an online voting system through an online form.
When and where can I vote?
- On March 23-26, 2026 at the Zen Garden and SEC-C Foyer.
Who are the candidates running?
- You may engage with the candidates’ campaigns from March 09-21, 2026 or visit the Candidates’ Profile Section of the Ateneo COMELEC Portal.
I belong to a course with no course representatives running. Can I vote?
- Yes, you may still vote for the executive council candidates, the referenda and the plebiscite.
Can I vote both onsite and online?
- No. You cannot vote twice. We have a system that tracks the status of voters to prevent flying voters.
Can candidates campaign during the voting period?
- No, they cannot. This is unlawful electioneering sanctionable under the 2026 Revised Electoral Code.
