Electoral Officers refer to all members of the Ateneo Commission on Elections (COMELEC). They are entrusted with the critical responsibility of managing, facilitating, and overseeing all electoral processes within the university. As Electoral Officers, they ensure that elections, plebiscites, and referenda are conducted transparently, fairly, and in strict adherence to the 2024 Electoral Code and other guiding documents.

Some electoral officers hold key positions in ensuring that the commission’s mandate and responsibilities to the student body are met with transparency and integrity. These include:

Chief Commissioner

The head of the commission who oversees all COMELEC operations, ensures the implementation of electoral policies, and represents COMELEC in official matters. 

Commissioners

Electoral Officers who head and manage specific departments such as communications, logistics, finance, secretariat and human resources, contributing to the smooth execution of electoral processes. They also serve as the Executive Board of the Ateneo COMELEC, making key decisions for both internal and external matters in the commission.

Associate Commissioners

Electoral Officers who assist the commissioners of their respective departments in delivering and executing their specific functions. They serve as the Associate Board of the Ateneo COMELEC, focused on working on specific areas and aspects within their departments.

Poll Officers refer to the external manpower outsourced by the Ateneo Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to assist in managing and overseeing polling stations during elections. These individuals are typically scholar volunteers who offer their time and services, often in exchange for service hours or as part of their commitment to the university's community service initiatives.

Poll Officers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of polling stations. By supporting COMELEC in logistical and administrative tasks, they help maintain the integrity and orderliness of the electoral process. While they are not officially members of COMELEC, their responsibilities are vital to the successful execution of elections.

Poll Watchers are assigned personnel at polling stations with the primary responsibility of observing and ensuring the compliance of student voters with electoral laws and regulations. Their presence is essential to maintaining the integrity and fairness of the electoral process, as they act as impartial monitors who oversee the conduct of elections within their assigned areas.
