In the northern reaches of Avisrune is The Wildheart. Those living inside the dense, secluded, region refer to it Kelfema'meru or occasionally simply "Kelfema."
The denizens of Kelfema are a group of extremely secluded and devout worshippers of the goddess Caletras - who it is believed created the races of wood elves, firbolgs, and goliaths. No outsider has ever been permitted in the inner reaches of Kelfema. It is extremely dangerous to try, as it is guarded by rangers who do not hesitate to attack anyone who steps near their edges.
Legends tells that the druids of Kelfema are protecting something deep in the heart of the woods. Some claim it's nothing more then the last surviving temple to Caletras - others believe it is something far more powerful.
The easiest way for anyone in Avisrune to get to Previdian, or even to Revenala as a whole is through the northern edges of Tsandor. Sister's Reach Port promises a short journey across the Astvian Sea. However, the inhabitants of Kelfema were displeased with the amount of people who came so close to their lands. A tentative agreement was formed by the late King Tel'aes Wrenvar, and the elders of Kelfema. Travelers would be permitted to pass through the Wildheart, provided they adhere to set rules. Any bans established by the people of Kelfema are upheld by the crown.
Only two outsiders have been welcomed into the outer rings of Kelfema. Kaevlin Wrenn, the half-elf mayor of Stonerun, the only town that serves as a stopping point in Kelfema, and his tiefling husband, Devotion.
Travelers are encouraged to hire Kelfema escorts and guides in Sister's Reach Port or Nestling.
The final resting place of the goddess Alaeymena Thayerblossom's mortal body, the Springrest is a deeply sacred place for many druids, paladins, and clerics.
A sizable grove, the Springrest is a fertile and vibrant place. It is said that when Alaeymena sacrificed herself there, the residual energy and magic from her body bled into the earth and from it, the Springrest began to bloom.
The grove is situated in the cradle of the Springfall Mountains, named again in her honor, which legends claim also rose at her moment of her death. It is open to nearly anyone who wishes to visit, regardless of their faith, their adherence to religious code, or their status as clerics or paladins. Only those who have truly rejected the tenaments of Alaeymena are prohibited from entering the greater grove or any of its several places of worship.
The center of the Springrest, however, houses the final resting place of Alaeymena's mortal form. The roots of the Springrest's trees wrapped around her to entomb her. This place is not open to the public. Only those dedicated to the service of Alaeymena are permitted entrance to pray and seek guidance at her tombside.
Every year, during the spring, many clerics, paladins, and druids of Alaeymena make a pilgrimage to the Springrest. Often, those in her service do so at the start of spring, but others come at any point during the season. During this time, the Springrest is alive with sound and celebration. Large feasts are set out, marriages are celebrated under the spring skies.
