You can delete your account directly from within the app at any time:
Open AskAround
Go to your Profile tab
Tap Account & Settings
Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account
Confirm the deletion when prompted
Alternatively, you can request deletion by emailing us at siddusiddharth630@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and your registered email address. We will process your request within 7 business days.
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and immediately removed:
Your profile information (name, email, age, gender, bio, Instagram, LinkedIn)
All help requests and emergency requests you posted
All chat conversations and messages you sent or received
Your block list
Your authentication credentials and login session
AskAround uses Supabase as its backend infrastructure for authentication and data storage. Some data may remain temporarily in encrypted backups maintained by our service providers for disaster recovery purposes and are automatically removed according to their retention schedules.
Deletion is permanent and irreversible — your data cannot be recovered after confirmation
You will be signed out of the app immediately
Any active help requests you had open will be removed from the feed for other users
We do not retain your personal data after deletion. However, anonymised or aggregated data (not linked to you) may be retained for service improvement purposes.
