Situation
Over the past few years, I’ve developed a strong interest in running shoes, from their design and technology to how different models support various running styles. Many people who don’t run regularly are unaware of the science behind proper shoe selection, which inspired me to turn my personal passion into a learning experience.
Solution
I created a short Microsoft PowerPoint presentation introducing the fundamentals of running shoe design and selection. To extend the concept, I developed an interactive eLearning module that simulates helping others choose the right running shoe based on individual needs. This project allowed me to combine personal enthusiasm with instructional strategy, reinforcing my ability to transform specialized interests into engaging learning experiences.
Tools: Articulate Storyline, Microsoft PowerPoint, Pexels, Genially, Google Docs, Google Forms
I was given the chance to expand on this concept in my Instructional Design and Technology Integration course. This time, I got to go through the whole ADDIE process. I created a micro-site within Genially to provide information about each session of this "How to Choose the Proper Running Shoe" program and a link to the actual training, which was also created in Genially.
ADDIE Model Report
This report goes through the ADDIE process in a detailed and meticulous way. While this process may not be as long or in-depth for some tasks, I understand how to apply ADDIE to the highest degree.
You can experience both the microsite and the e-learning on this page!
Microsoft PowerPoint
This PowerPoint was created to be interactive. For the e-learning, it comes with a recorded video for each section going through this interactive PowerPoint. There are a lot of animations that aren't shown in the PDF format.
