Using a fast-paced workshop format, Theater Arts 1 focuses on developing creativity and improving communication skills. Students develop theatre abilities through games and devised theater. Learning is collaborative and process-oriented. No experience necessary.
Prerequisite: None (Full year course, open to all grades)
Honors 1 credit
This course is for those who wish to continue to develop their performance and leadership skills. Theater Arts 2 focuses on improvisation, introductory script work and collaborative theater projects.
Prerequisite: Theater Arts I recommended, instructor’s permission required. (Full year course, open to grades 10 and 11 only)
Honors 1 credit
Theater Arts 3 and 4 focus on class, group and individual theater projects. The content will vary year to year, allowing students to repeat the course as Theater Arts 4. Project topics include comedy, stage combat, improvisation, and directing.

Theater Arts 3: Theater Arts 1 and 2 recommended; instructor’s permission required. (Full year course. Open to grade 11 and 12 only.)
Theater Arts 4: Theater Arts 3 required; instructor’s permission required. (Full year course. Open to grade 12 only.)
