Brett Smith is a Professor of Disability and Physical Activity in the Department of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Durham University, UK.
Brett is the lead for the UK Chief Medical Officers’ physical activity guidelines for disabled people. Collaborating with Disability Rights UK, he also leads the co-produced award winning project‘Moving Social Work’. Brett is the President of the International Society of Qualitative Research in Sport and Exercise. He is also the founder and former Editor of the Q1ranked journal Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise and Health (QRSEH).Brett now to serves on the Advisory Board of QRSEH and on multiple editorial boards, including Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly, Qualitative Research in Psychology, and Qualitative Inquiry.

Professor Cindy SIT is the Chairperson and Professor of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Fellow of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA),the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise (ASAPE), and the Hong Kong Association of Sports Medicine and Sports Science (HKASMSS). Currently, Cindy is the President of IFAPA and the Committee Chair of the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance (AHKGA).
Her research interests focus on investigations of physical activity and participation motivation, and the development and assessment of the impact of physical activity interventions on motor skills and health outcomes in children with disabilities or special educational needs (SEN). Cindy directs the Exercise Psychology and Motor Learning Laboratory. She has published more than 150 scientific papers in the areas of adapted physical activity, exercise science and public health.

ChunxiaoLi, known as Lee or CX, currently serves as a professor at the School of Physical Education and Sports Science, South China Normal University (SCNU),China. Prior to his current position, he held the role of a visiting scholar at Durham University, UK, and served as an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. CX’s recent research primarily centers on the psychosocial aspects of adapted physical activity/education. His research endeavors have received funding from competitive grants, including support from the National Social Science Fund in China. CX has authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and maintains a Google h-index of 33. His expertise is further demonstrated through active involvement in esteemed journals such as Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly and International Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology, where he serves as an editorial board member. Additionally, he holds leadership positions within professional societies, notably as the President of the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise, and a member of the Expert Committee of China Disabled Sport.

Dr Ng also shares his working posts at the Faculty of Education, University of Turku,Rauma, Finland, the Center of Innovation and Sports Science, Lithuanian Sports University,Lithuania, and the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Limerick, Ireland where helends his expertise in adapted physical activity through quantitative and qualitative research methods and use of technology in special educational sciences and physical education, rehabilitation and sport.He is the Vice President of both the International Federation in Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) and Vice President of the European Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (EUFAPA).

David Legg is Professor of Adapted Physical Activity and Sport Management at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada.
He is the Past President of the Canadian Paralympic Committee and past board member for the 2015 Pan Parapan American Games in Toronto. David has also served on the International Paralympic Committee’s Sport Science Committee and is the Past President of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity. More recently as a consultant, David worked with the Calgary BidCo for the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Alberta BidCo for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.

Miki Matheson (She/Her) has a diverse range of work experience, and is currently working as a DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Consultant.
She was a successful Paralympian and a certified teacher who believes that the combined power of sports and education can create a better world. Through her own life experiences, she has been immensely impacted by the fact that the society we live in has not been designed with people with disabilities in mind, and that the Paralympics have the power to break down prejudices and rewrite assumptions. After she retired from her athletic career, she has served as a member of the education committee for both the IPC and IOC. Now she serves as a government board member of the IPC.

Mitsuru Nagase is former para ice hockey goalkeeper of Japanese national team. He is 4 times Paralympian and won a silver medal at 2010 Vancouver Paralympics. He retired in 2015, but returned to the team in 2020 and retired again in 2023. He was a basketball player at school. But at age of 15, he was diagnosed with chronic inflammatory demyelinatingpolyneuropathy which caused his disability. After he was struggled with his situation that he could not play sports for 4 years, he started to play para ice hockey.
Since 2017, he is working for the news paper company, Hokkaido Shimbun Press. He worked as a journalist at three Paralympic Games, Pyongchang, Tokyo and Beijing.Last year, he was involved in the launch of the Paralympians Association of Japan, which celebrated its 20th anniversary,and served as a director until 2022.
