Day155: 01 July 2024

Esther 2,3,4,5 and 6

Fact: Esther 4: 16"Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish." 5:1 That night the king could not sleep; so, he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him.

Insight: God hears prayer. Prayer can instigate things beyond what we can think or imagine according to God’s word. Prayer is the way to deal with matters beyond our abilities, matters that only God can deal with. Prayer can avert a national disaster.

Deed: I commit to pray and even fast for issues of concern in my personal life family, church and the nation. So, Help me God.

Day156: 02 July 2024

Esther 7,8,9,10 and Job 1

Fact: Job 1: 8-10 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." 9"Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied.10"Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.

Insight: God Knows the hearts of Men. He our passions and commitment; God protects those who fear Him, together with their properties and blesses their work and increases their wealth.

Deed: I commit to shun evil and to fear God; to be blameless and upright. So, Help me God.

Day159: 05 July 2024

Job 12,13,14,15 and16

Fact: Job 16: 2"I have heard many things like these; miserable comforters are you all! 3Will your long-winded speeches never end? What ails you that you keep on arguing? 4 I also could speak like you, if you were in my place; I could make fine speeches against you and shake my head at you. 5But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief.

Insight: When a friend is in trouble, it may be good to keep quiet and just be around them instead of trying to explain to them the misery, it may spoil the fellowship. A listening ear may be all the troubled, bereaved etc. need in their time of darkness.

Deed: I commit to be silent when attending to those in trouble and minimize speaking unless I must. So, Help me God.

Day160: 06 July 2024

Job 17,18,19,20 and21

Fact: Job 19: 23-26 "Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll, 24that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever! 25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;

Insight: Even in the midst of trouble, God works in us to will and act according to His word; God puts words of prophesy in our mouth; indeed, His Spirit can cause us to foretell the future especially when we are sold to Him even when undergoing trials.

Deed: I commit to put my trust in God even when undergoing trials. So, Help me God

Day161: 07July 2024

Job 22,23,24,25 and26

Fact: Job 23: 10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold; 12 I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

Insight: There is hope when tested by God, one is refined and comes out of the test better and more valuable. God delights in those who esteem His word above physical things of this world.

Deed: I commit to delight in the word of God and to persevere in trials. So, Help me God

Job 27,28,29,30 and 31

Fact: Job 31:1 "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl.

Insight: godliness should stem from a resolve within; a sinless life requires a personal commitment from the heart to please God, it is not accidental, but rather a resolution from within.

Deed: I commit, not to look at women lustfully. So, Help me God 

Day163: 09July 2024

Job 32,33,34,35 and 36

Fact: Job 32: 8-9 But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding. 9 It is not only the old who are wise, not only the aged who understand what is right.

Insight: Although wisdom comes from experience and years of living, The Spirit of God can bring wisdom and Knowledge to the young, because God himself is eternal and full of wisdom, He has been there and will be there eternally; When God dwells in the young His wisdom also dwells with them.

Deed: I commit to, allow take full control of my life that I may draw from His wisdom. So, Help me God

Job 37,38,39,40 and 41

Fact: Job 38: 33-35Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God's dominion over the earth? 34"Can you raise your voice to the clouds and cover yourself with a flood of water? 35Do you send the lightning bolts on their way? Do they report to you, 'Here we are'?

Insight: God’s ways are beyond our comprehension; we therefore have no capacity to attempt to question Him and His decisions over us. He has installed systems that work, seasons that come and go. He is mighty! Ours is only to worship Him alone!

Deed: I commit to, Worship God and enjoy the His wonders rather than question them. So, Help me God

Day165: 11 July 2024

Job 42, Psalm1,2,3and 4

Fact: Job 42: 2"I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted; 5-6 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. 6Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes."

Insight: There is great victory and Experience in the Lord when we go through trials successfully. We get to Know God in a greater dimension. God’s plans are sure and will come to pass.

Deed: I commit to, have confidence in the Lord and His plans and Promises because they will surely come to pass. So, Help me God

Day166: 12 July 2024

Psalm5,6,7,8 and 9

Fact: Psalm 8: 3-5 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? 5You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

Insight: The Lord has chosen to put His glory in Man, though a weak creature compared to the celestial bodies and creatures. In His wisdom He cares for men and is concerned about them and has given them dominion.

Deed: I commit to, Worship God and Honor Him for the great consideration He has bestowed on me, for granting me power to subdue the earth. So, Help me God

Day167: 13 July 2024

Psalm10,11,12,13 and 14

Fact: Psalm 11: 3-5 When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" 4The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them. 5The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.

Insight: God is in charge of the world; nothing happens without His Knowledge; The Lord expects those who put their trust in Him to be holy and to represent Him here on earth by living justly and righteously; The Lord hates evil among his people.

Deed: I commit to, live justly and set my heart for the Lord that there may be no evil in me. So, Help me God

Psalm15,16,17,18 and 19

Fact: Psalm 15: 1-2 Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? 2He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart; 5b He who does these things will never be shaken.

Insight: God loves all people; However, to consistently dwell in a man, one has to be blameless, one who keeps their oaths, does not accept a bribe against the innocent, such will be God’s friend.

Deed: I commit to, be blameless, keep my oaths even when it hurts and not to accept a bribe. So, Help me God

Psalm20,21,22,23 and 24

Fact: Psalm 24: 1-2The earth is the Lord 's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 2for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

Insight: The Lord is in charge of all things on Earth, He understands the deep things and therefore we can trust Him alone for all the solutions on the problems we experience on earth.

Deed: I commit to, Trust only in the Lord and run to Him alone in all the circumstances that I face. So, Help me God

Psalm25,26,27,28 and 29

Fact: Psalm 25: 14The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.

Insight: The Lord will reveal His secrets and plans to those who are ‘into Him’, to those who obey and walk in His ways.

Deed: I commit to, fear the Lord and walk in His ways. So, Help me God

Day171: 17July 2024

Psalm 30,31,32,33 and 34

Fact: Psalm 33: 10-12The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. 11But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. 12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.

Insight: God’s plans will surely come to pass for all Nations; All Nations are safe when they recon the Lord as their God; Nations that despise the plan of God will be thwarted in their plans.

Deed: I commit to, pray for my Nation to fear the Lord and do my part in encouraging my children to fear the Lord. So, Help me God

Day172: 18July 2024

Psalm 35,36,37,38 and 39

Fact: Psalm 37: 3-6Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: 6He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Insight: The Lord is the source of all things. All we desire is I Him; therefore, when we commit our ways Him, we have confidence that we will experience all that is in Him.

Deed: I commit to, follow the Lord and to experience Him in all my ways and to delight only in Him. So, Help me God

Psalm 40,41,42,43 and 44

Fact: Psalm 43: 3 It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.

Insight: Victory does not come our way because we are strong and strategic, rather it is given by God because of His love and Mercies.

Deed: I commit to, not to boast in my victories, rather to ascribe every success to the Lord. So, Help me God

Day174: 20 July 2024

Psalm 45,46,47,48 and 49

Fact: Psalm 46: 9-10 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. 10"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Insight: The Lord deals with all matters, from mundane individual issues to National and global issues; He deals with small conflicts in homes to National conflicts like wars; He has solutions to every challenge in its size and jurisdiction.

Deed: I commit to, Seek God Concerning all matters; Small and Big/large, Individual and National and global, all matters. So, Help me God

Day175: 21 July 2024

Psalm 50,51,52,53 and 54

Fact: Psalm 50: 9-12 I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, 10for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine. 12If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

Insight: All the sacrifices and worship we make to God are for our good, The Lord does not need them for His sustenance; The Lord owns all things and yet still delights in our worship and sacrifice, it is a mystery.

Deed: I commit to, Obey God and do as He commands, because it is for my good. So, Help me God

Day176: 22 July 2024

Psalm 55,56,57,58 and 59

Fact: Psalm 55: 22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

Insight: We have the assurance of sustenance when God is our hope and when we rely on Him, we have confidence He will never betray those who rely on him.  

Deed: I commit to, rely on God and put my trust in Him alone. So, Help me God

Day177: 23 July 2024

Psalm 60,61,62,63 and 64

Fact: Psalm 63: 6-8 On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. 7Because you are my help; I sing in the shadow of your wings.8My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

Insight: Our relationship with God needs to be deep that even when in our rest we think and ponder about Him, even in our comfort He remains all we need.  

Deed: I commit to, rely on God even in my comfort. So, Help me God.

Day178: 24 July 2024

Psalm 65,66,67,68 and 69

Fact: Psalm 67: 17I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. 18If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 19but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.

Insight: Repentance is a pre-requisite to prayer, anyone who comes to God should acknowledge their sin and the need to be free from sin. With a repentant heart Prayer will get to God’s ear and an answer is sure. 

Deed: I commit to, search my heart always to repent and never to cherish sin in my heart.. So, Help me God

Day179: 25 July 2024

Psalm 70,71,72,73 and 74

Fact: Psalm 72: 1-2 Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness. 2 He will judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.

Insight: The Lord delights in leaders who rely on Him for wisdom to administer justice and righteousness among His people. To such, He will give all other things to sustain their leadership and secure their tenure. 

Deed: I commit to, Lead God’s people with justice and righteousness and to rely on God for Wisdom to do so. So, Help me God 

Day180: 26 July 2024

Psalm 75,76,77,78 and 79

Fact: Psalm 78: 70-72 He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens; 71from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance. 72And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.

Insight: When God raises us to leadership, it is for a purpose, He raises us from our feeble back grounds, so that we remember that if it was not the Lord, we could not be here. God desires leaders to serve His people with integrity in their dealings and excellently by their skills. 

Deed: I commit to, To always remember where the Lord has brought me from, and to serve Him and His people with integrity and excellence of my hands. So, Help me God

Day181: 27 July 2024

Psalm 80,81,82,83 and 84

Fact: Psalm 84: 10-12 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 11For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Insight: The bliss of being around the Lord’s presence – even if on the periphery of it – exceeds any other experience however long; Even the simplest roles in the Lord’s presence surpass the opulence that is worldly. The Lord is generous to those who are blameless and this generosity is through and through!

Deed: I commit to, dwell in the presence of the Lord and find things to do in His sanctuary however small. So, Help me God

Psalm 85,86,87,88 and 89

Fact: Psalm 88: 10-12Do you show your wonders to the dead? Do those who are dead rise up and praise you? Selah 11 Is your love declared in the grave, your faithfulness in Destruction? 12Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?

Insight: Only the living can experience God’s wonders, His love and righteous deeds.

Deed: I commit to, experience God all the days of my life, to experience His wonders, to praise Him, to experience His love and to Know His Wonders and His righteous deeds. So, Help me God

Day183: 29 July 2024

Psalm 90,91,92,93 and 94

Fact: Psalm 92: 12-15The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15proclaiming, "The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."

Insight: Those who trust in God will flourish in all seasons and in all stages of life young, midlife, old; They will be fresh all through their lives because the Lord is their Rock.

Deed: I commit to, put my trust in God and live a righteous life. So, Help me God

Psalm 95,96,97,98 and 99

Fact: Psalm 97: 10-11Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.11Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.

Insight: To love the Lord is to hate all evil - sin. The people who hate evil are protected by the Lord and even if they are attacked, He will rescue them.

Deed: I commit to, hate evil. So, Help me God

Day185: 31 July 2024

Psalm 100,101,102,103 and 104

Fact: Psalm 101: 1-2 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will sing praise. 2I will be careful to lead a blameless life - when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.

Insight: To avoid sin does not come automatic by developing a godly vocabulary, it is rather a deliberate action to avoid evil daily, every hour and when experiencing all kinds of circumstances.

Deed: I commit to, be deliberate to live a blameless life always. So, Help me God
