Deuteronomy31,32,33 and 34
Fact: Deuteronomy 31:1-3 Then Moses went out and spoke these words to all Israel: 2"I am now a hundred and twenty years old and I am no longer able to lead you. The Lord has said to me, 'You shall not cross the Jordan.' 3The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the Lord said.
Insight: Leadership comes from the Lord; He sets the times and seasons for all leaders and when their time lapses, He replaces them; Gods purpose must be fulfilled.
Deed: I commit to trust Gods leadership when He raises leaders over me, to support and encourage and cooperate. So, Help me God.

Joshua 1,2,3 and 4
Fact: Joshua2:8-11 Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof 9 and said to them, "I know that the Lord has given this land to you and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. 10We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. 11When we heard of it, our hearts melted and everyone's courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
Insight: The deeds of the Lord are a testimony of His great power and might; Our past victories should be a preserve of God’s care and should encourage us to trust more in the Lord of the victories; Our battles are fought by the Lord not us and hence we should not fear.
Deed: I commit to trust God’s leadership through His word that He who saved me will fight all my battles and help me accomplish my purpose on earth. So, Help me God.

Joshua 5,6,7 and 8
Fact: Joshua6: 19All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury." 7:1 7But the Israelites acted unfaithfully in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So, the Lord 's anger burned against Israel. 7:26 Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the Lord turned from his fierce anger. Therefore, that place has been called the Valley of Achor ever since
Insight: Obedience is dear to God than sacrifices; a whole Nation can be at stand still because of the disobedience of one man; a war / battle can be lost due to disobedience.

Joshua 9,10,11 and 12
Fact: Joshua9: 14 The men of Israel sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the Lord 15Then Joshua made a treaty of peace with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly ratified it by oath. 16Three days after they made the treaty with the Gibeonites, the Israelites heard that they were neighbors, living near them.
Insight: Inquiring of the Lord before decision making is a lesson I need to Learn. Decisions should not be made in a hurry based on sight; Sight can deceive.
Deed: I commit to Inquire of the Lord, and may I grow in knowing how to hear Him when I inquire of Him. So, Help me God

Joshua 17,18,19 and 20
Fact: Joshua17: 16The people of Joseph replied, "The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the plain have iron chariots, both those in Beth Shan and its settlements and those in the Valley of Jezreel." 17But Joshua said to the house of Joseph-to Ephraim and Manasseh-"You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment 18but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have iron chariots and though they are strong, you can drive them out.".
Insight: God’s Promises are not taken without effort and trust in Him; God’s promises require Faith in the God of promise and confidence in the God of promise; God’s promises require reliance on God and fighting with God’s Help.
Deed: I commit to rely on The God of promises and to train myself to trust and obey the God of Promise. So, Help me God.

Fact: Judges 10:16Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the LORD . And he could bear Israel's misery no longer.
Insight: God cannot allow a people given to Him to suffer; He is attracted to a people wholly given to Him alone.

Fact: Judges 15:15Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men.
Insight: When God is working in a person, even mundane tools can produce results, because its not the person working, but God's power.
Deed: I commit to allow God's power to work in my life, ill not complain of what I don't have but release myself to Him regardless of the tools. So, Help me God

Judges17,18,19and 20
Fact: Judges 19:28There was no one to rescue them because they lived a long way from Sidon and had no relationship with anyone else. The city was in a valley near Beth Rehob. The Danites rebuilt the city and settled there.
Insight: Loneliness is the enemies tool to destroy the weak in the Lord. Fellowship is a good tool to enhance encouragement and cause the enemy to fear attacking
Deed: I commit to stay in fellowship with brethren and avoid being aloof from others. So, Help me God

Fact: 1Samuel:26-28 and she said to him, "As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the Lord . 27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. 28So now I give him to the Lord . For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord ." And he worshiped the Lord there.
Insight: The Lord honors those who keep their vows; It is the Lord who works in us to make decisions that are in line with what He is doing.

Fact: 1Samuel 6:3And Samuel said to the whole house of Israel, "If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the philistines
Insight: The Lord is a jealous God, He will not fight for a people that are not wholly His, However He will come to the aid of His chosen speedily, to those whose hearts are given only to Him.

Fact: 1Samuel 23:2 he inquired of the Lord , saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" The Lord answered him, "Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah."
Insight: The Lord desires His people to seek Him before making decisions; He desires His servants to acknowledge His guidance and will in their affairs.
Deed: I commit to inquire of the Lord in my daily decisions. So, Help me God.

Fact: 1Samuel 26:But David said to Abishai, "Don't destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord 's anointed and be guiltless? 10As surely as the Lord lives," he said, "the Lord himself will strike him; either his time will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.
Insight: Vengeance belongs to God, we are not allowed to inflict pain to our fellow vulnerable humans in the name of avenging ourselves.
Deed: I commit to allow God to avenge for me in all circumstances. So, Help me God

1 Samuel 28,29,30and 31
Fact: 1Samuel 30:22-24 But all the evil men and troublemakers among David's followers said, "Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered. However, each man may take his wife and children and go." 23David replied, "No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the Lord has given us. He has protected us and handed over to us the forces that came against us. 24Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike.
Insight: Sharing with others the victories and plunder, gives glory to God who gives all things.

Fact: 2Samuel 12: 9-10 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? you struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.'
Insight: The Lord hates evil, He punishes people for their evil deeds.T he consequenses of our evil deeds affect our generations.
Deed: I commit to avoid sin by Gods enablement, to fear God and obey his commands. So, Help me God

2 Samuel 13,14,15and16
Fact: 2Samuel 13: 21-22When King David heard all this, he was furious. 22Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad; he hated Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar.
Insight: The silence of parents when wrongs happen among the children only fuels the situation, Parents should solve issues; David needed to counsel his sons. Our morality gives us the confidence to solve moral issues when they occur, David had issues with Women, no wonder he had no moral authority to confront his son Amnon conserning his sin to the Sister Tamar.
Deed: I commit to live right always, to model the correct moral standing for my generations. So, Help me God

2 Samuel 21,22,23 and 24
Fact: 2Samuel 21: 20-21 In still another battle, which took place at Gath, there was a huge man with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot-twenty-four in all. He also was descended from Rapha. 21When he taunted Israel, Jonathan son of Shimeah, David's brother, killed him.
Insight: After David Killed Goliath the Giant, Many other giants were killled by different people in David's Army. The way we deal with our struggles today will affect the way our generations deals with them. When we win battles we open up cealings of victories to those around us.
Deed: I commit to slay all the giants i struggle with, for the sake of my generations and those with me. So, Help me God

Fact: 1 Kings 2:2 "I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. "So be strong, show yourself a man,
Insight: It is the fathers role to give confidence to their sons and call out confidence in them, it is also a fathers role to counsel and instruct their sons, provide wisdom and knowledge on how to navigate life based on their experience, the father should also instruct their sons to love the Lord and Keep His commands.
Deed: I commit to Share my experiences with my children, first my love for the Lord and then life experiences, so that it is easier for them than it was/is for me. So, Help me God

1 Kings 9,10,11 and 12
Fact: 1 Kings 11:1-3 King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh's daughter-Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites. 2They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, "You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods." Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. 3He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray.
Insight: Rebellion and disobedience will separate us from the Lord. Deliberately doing what the Lord warned in His word will separate us from Him. Wrong women will turn men to their wrong believes.
Deed: I commit to love only my wife and serve the Lord with Her. So, Help me God

1 Kings 13,14,15 and 16
Fact: 1 Kings 15:11-13 Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord , as his father David had done. 12He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his fathers had made. 13He even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive Asherah pole. Asa cut the pole down and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
Insight: even in the midst of rebellion, God raises for himself people who fear Him. Reference is made to David who feared the Lord whose example must have inspired Asa.
Deed: I commit to love the Lord in my generation that those after me will also do so. So, Help me God
