This August I have been able to start my program at USC taking courses for Human Spaceflight, Space Environments, and Space System Design. In order to further my understanding of the field I applied and was accepted into USC's Liquid Propulsion Lab. I will now be working on a feed system project that utilizes H2/O2 instead of NOx as it has in the past. I am excited to get more hands on experience and look forward to sharing more about it!
The GEM fellowship is a diversity, equity, and inclusion fellowship for engineers across the country. I am pleased to say I have been offered a GEM University Fellowship at the University of Southern California while I finish my masters. This is an incredible help to have tuition and fees paid for by this organization.
Throughout this Spring I have been lucky enough to gain admittance into multiple incredible schools and graduate programs. One of those programs is the Masters in Science for Astronautical Engineering at the University of Southern California. As this best aligns with my goals for specializing in an industry, I will be joining the Trojan family this August 2024! I am very excited to add some specializations to my resume and build connection down in Los Angeles.
This summer I will be interning in Seattle with Boeing's Global Services Team. This opportunity to work not only in project management but also on an engineering design team that reverse engineers current commercial aircraft parts so Boeing can manufacture them in the future will give me insight into the mechanical design process in the aerospace industry.
