Cross Country Banquet - New Date

The banquet for Arvada West Cross Country will now be held on Tuesday, November 4, at 6:00 p.m. in The Commons at Arvada West High School.
Cost for dinner is $10 per person - money will be collected at the door. You can pay cash or check made payable to Arvada West High School. Please RSVP number of attendees to Della by Tuesday, October 28.
We are in need of pictures and videos from our season, which will be shown during our banquet. If you have pictures or videos you would like to share, please upload them to a Drop Box and send the link to Della or save them to a jump drive and give to Della by Monday, October 27.

Uniforms and Cross Country Jackets

Athletes were issued team uniforms and a jacket on Tuesday, August 26. Remember to wash your uniform and jacket in cold water (no fabric softener) and hang to dry. Please do not put uniforms or jacket in the dryer.
These items are checked out to you and are your responsibility during the season. When we are at meets, please put these items in your bag when you are not using them - do not leave them on the ground. There will be a $100 fee to replace the jacket and a $50 fee per uniform item. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Team Pictures

We will have our Team, Individual, and Buddy pictures taken at Stenger Soccer Complex prior to the start of our Durden Invite on Friday, September 19. You will be able to order pictures online – ordering information will be sent when the pictures are posted.

Volunteers Needed

We are in need of volunteers for the Arvada West Durden Invite on Friday, September 19. We host this meet and can’t run it without you! At this time, we only have 5 volunteers – we need around 35. If you are available, please email Della with available times, cell phone number, and t-shirt size at della.moore@jeffco.k12.co.us. If you have a t-shirt from last year, please plan to use that, and let me know that you already have a shirt. All athletes are expected to help with tear-down after the meet is complete. We’ll also need volunteers with trucks to help us take items to Stenger in the morning and back to the school at the conclusion of the meet. Like to ride a bike? We need a lead bike for our races, and a sweeper bike (follow last runner in each race). Let Della know if you can help with these tasks.

Important Information - Cross Country Policies and Information Packet

The following items should be read in their entirety, as important information is contained within. All athletes and their parents must sign and return the acknowledgement page in the Arvada West High School Cross Country Policies and Information packet (page 9). We must have this signed page returned before your athlete can compete in a meet. Please give to Coach Cassandra no later than end of practice on Friday, August 22.

Fall Parent/Athlete Meetings | Thursday, August 14 - Mark Your Calendars!
We will hold our Cross Country Parent/Athlete meeting on Thursday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library at Arvada West. This meeting is mandatory for all cross country parents and athletes.
Our Athletic Director Mr. Volk will hold the Arvada West Fall Parent/Athlete Meeting immediately following our Cross Country Meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Gym.
Please plan to attend these important fall sport meetings.
