Sandra is in her bedroom packing her suitcase, planning to leave home. Hartley comes in to tell her that Trevor has been arrested. Sandra is resolved to go to her sister’s in Manchester. Hartley tries to stop her but fails.
From behind prison bars, Trevor sings “Loving You” and "Power To The People".

The three gossips are spreading news of Trevor’s arrest in the garden and see Sandra leaving, suitcase in hand. The gossip becomes spicier.
In a telephone box, Hartley is tipping off the police about the chemist shop burglary, giving a false name and assuming a phoney voice.
Sandra enters sadly with her suitcase as the band laments Trevor’s arrest, by playing “Worried Mind”, sung by Neville. Sandra tells them she went to the police station, but she wasn’t allowed to see Trevor, and she’s on her way to Manchester to stay with her sister. After she leaves, Eddie arrives in a panic saying they must get down to the police station urgently.

The Pastor finds out that Sandra has left home. Indignant that this should happen to him, he decides to go to Manchester and persuade Sandra to come home.
Trevor’s case is in session. Eddie and Neville, and another Rasta friend proclaim his innocence as the judge stands to say that the real culprits have been found and Trevor can go free. His friends then tell him that Sandra has gone to Manchester and he sets off immediately for the train station.
Pastor Johnson buys a ticket and goes to wait on the platform. Trevor arrives, purchases his ticket, and waits not far from the Pastor.
Trevor is looking for a seat and ends up sitting across from the Pastor. (The only two blacks in the carriage). They enter into polite conversation, the Pastor more reluctantly than Trevor. Eventually they talk about religion, and get involved, despite themselves, in a heated discussion about Jah and Jesus. The Pastor does not recognise this Rastaman as his daughter’s boyfriend. At Manchester station, they part ways, only to end up at the same house in Mosside.
The sister tries to pacify the Pastor when he realises who Trevor is. Arguments fly, many based on the Bible and in the end the Pastor decides to bow down a little because he doesn’t want to lose his daughter.

The Zion Band will be presented with the first prize in the National Reggae competition. But first the M.C. introduces the (1) disco dancing competition (2) a punk group singing "Punk Jump Reggae" (3) a sexy fashion show, and (4) a funky disco number called “Disco Joe” with Eddie and his six beautiful dancers. When the band is asked to come up and receive their award, Sandra calls on her father and mother to join her on stage. The Pastor, so plainly in the public’s eye, must concede, (“I don’t approve, but if you’re happy, I suppose it’s alright”).
