Project Scope: Use the Coil Building technique to explore and express the theme Life or Living.
Finished coil work should be a form that demonstrates good craftsmanship in coil building. The work should be a creative integration on the theme/topic of "Iife/living." Submit a high quality photo of the work in the course's designated submission area. It is okay to submit a photo of the work in the leather hard stage. The coil project should activate the space, be visually appealing in the round, and a minimum of 5 inches in depth, width, and height. Variation of coil types is required, strive for at 3 unique coil types. Choose a challenging and engaging subject that allows for exploration.
Caveat: no snakes
Tip: coils suspended in mid-air are prone to breaking easily; tree branches have broken on many previous student projects.
