Payout, Taxes & Service fee
Artist Alley Shop pays Vendors for their sales once a month, on the 1st of every month.
Vendors get 100% of the amount of their sales and have to take care of their taxes on their side.
We are not charging customers the TPS/TVH and TVQ from the Vendors' sales because purchases at our place are considered pass-through transactions.
We only act as a sales agent for your products but not as the reseller, if you need to charge sales tax on your product, you should include it in your retail price.
The law states that a business making more than 30,000 in revenue per year must be registered as a company and must pay taxes, so if you fall under this category it is your duty to be officially registered as a business to charge and pay taxes.
On every purchase at our store, a 16% service fee is charged to customers including our own TPS/TVQ for the service fee amount.
This service fee allows Vendors to keep 100% of their sales and supports our business fees to help us grow as a company.
It supports our business to pay our many business costs, as we are not just relying on vendor's rent but also on our sales.
