This artCORE course provides a foundation in drawing. Students engage a sequence of exercises and problems that explore line, shape, texture, value, volume, perspective, and composition. Grounded in the "studio fundamentals," the course is animated by a series of themes and embedded in a philosophy of inquiry-based learning to facilitate critical thinking, conceptual depth, and broad-based historical and cultural awareness.
