Working as a Resident Advisor for MRU Residence Services. AJ had continued to draw from his passion for serving his student community as a peer supporter by getting involved with Residence Life.
His job responsibilities included:
Being certified in First AID CPR/AED Level C, safeTALK Suicide Awareness Safety Training, and numerous other emergency protocols for usage in emergency intervention.
Provide trauma-informed care and support for disclosures from residents and refer students to respective social, economic, and mental health supports found on campus, providing follow-ups when necessary.
Creating and facilitating community events to foster belonging and newfound peer connections between residents.
