Working as the Pride Centre Ambassador/Administrator for the Students' Association of Mount Royal University (SAMRU) AJ had developed a keen interest in the importance of community service for marginalized populations.

Using trauma-informed care methods to facilitate appropriate resource referral, peer support, and crisis intervention for students who approached him with disclosures.
Staying up-to-date on current and latest information on sexual health, mental health, food insecurity, and financial aid for students who need it.
Creating and facilitating community programs and events to support students of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community find connection and friendship.
Administrated communication with Calgary-based resources for collaboration on providing resources to students or facilitating workshops.
