All chaplaincy applicants must meet U.S. Army commission standards and administrative qualifications prior to applying. Chaplaincy requires an ecclesiastical endorsement from a DOW approved endorsing agency.

120 credit Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
72 Credit Master of Divinity or equivalent Master Degree in related studies from an accredited university
2 years of full-time pastoral experience completed after completion of the MDIV
Less than 42 years old at the time of commission
U.S. Citizenship (Birth or Naturalized)
Prior or Currently Serving applicants:
Less than 10 years of prior Active military service and less than 4 years time-in-grade as a CPT
Qualified applicants:
120 credit Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
72 Credit Master of Divinity or equivalent Master Degree in related studies from an accredited university
Less than 47 years old at the time of commission
Prior or Currently Serving applicants:
Less than 10 years of prior Active military service and less than 4 years time-in-grade as a CPT
Qualified applicants:
120 credit Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
Accepted into a qualifying MDIV program or have completed less than 32 credits of their MDIV program
Less than 36 years old at the time of commission
Prior or Currently Serving applicants:
Less than 10 years of prior Active military service and less than 2 years time-in-grade as a CPT
