Identify Criteria and Specify Constraints:
Criteria:
Must sort pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters with 100% accuracy.
System must have a vibrating hopper system. The system will be provided (switch, battery case, and motor)
3D printed parts can be designed, printed and utilized in the system.
Recommended construction materials (cardboard, foamboard, duct tape, hot glue gun)
Creativity is required. Your system must be unique in someway.

Hopper Assembly
Full Assembly in Solidworks
These pieces include the triangular structure for the back piece, the walls for the chute, and the holes/barriers for the coins.
Pieces being laser cut
After laser cutting and scanning the pieces for the coin holders, we assembled two sets for maximum sorting speed
In order to create a consistent angle at the top of the separators, we cut them in individual pieces (11 each) and glued them together
Soldering the motor
Gluing the motor to the structure.
Hopper attached!
Accuracy? Not great.
Speed? Wonderful.
Potential improvements: smaller slope, larger hopper, smaller tolerance on holes
