Project & Planning:

Our team name ‘Lean Green Team’ was chosen by 5^th and 6^th class. The word ‘Lean’ refers to us being ‘lean’ with our usage and ‘green’ obviously refers to our environment. We wanted to involve the entire school, parents and the greater community. We also decided we would make representations to local politicians and businesses in an attempt to create and encourage our circular economy beliefs.

Through our parents association, led by chairperson Lorraine McCarthy, our parents and children brain stormed ideas and designed a number of actions to be carried out. This involved setting attainable and realistic, immediate and long term goals.
