Aims:
To become part of the up-cycling movement and to design products that combat textile pollution and bring back beauty to otherwise redundant materials and food
To spread awareness regarding wasting materials in order to minimise waste
To educate pupils and the wider community about the importance of combating climate change by taking many small steps to make great changes for the better
To create awareness and mechanisms in our school, homes and wider community to prevent us from being a throw away society, thus leading to our voices and actions preventing climate change. Small actions are important and we know we can make a big difference. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’
Climate change can be halted if we all make small, seemingly insignificant changes. The objectives of our team is to highlight those small actions which make a big difference
We want to raise awareness that we are in control and to empower pupils, parents, Board of Management, Parents Association and the wider community. We want all to have responsible stewardship in how we are using our world’s resources while giving back to our earth at the same time
