We officially accept students pursuing a PhD in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in one of the following programs: Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), and Mechanical Engineering (ME).
For graduate (PhD) admissions, please apply to the ECE (preferred) PhD program (or CSE or ME) and list Dr. Karydis's name in your SOP. Prospective students must have a strong robotics background and interest in one or two of the following areas:
Real-time Robot Learning and Control
Multi-robot Task and Motion Planning
Aerial Robotics (Control, Learning, and Perception)
Legged Robotics (Design, Control, Learning, and Perception)
Agricultural Robotics (Mechatronics, Embedded Systems Design, and Field Testing)
Soft Robotics (Track A: Design, Mechanics, and Motion Generation and Tracking; Track B: Control, Learning, and Perception)
