BREAKING WAVES

Breaking Waves changes the typology of Manhattan's urban fabric. The organic facade challenges the rigidity and repetition of conventional offices and communicates motion and fluidity in its aesthetics and performance. The undulating geometry creates a variety of new spaces, producing a heterogeneous environment that promotes interaction between occupants. Added circulation introduce new connections between offices and provides a smoother transition between floors. Solar panels and operable panels enable the design to perform as a system, while natural elements in spaces provide a more peaceful and relaxed environment. New structure weaves in and out of the facade, breaking the barrier between interior and exterior as it simultaneously break the barriers between the private realm of the office and the public world of the urban street.
