THE TABLE OF CONTENTS
A comprehensive site for most of your questions.
These indicate what the Tags at the top of the page for items mean
This indicates an AC-Tagged Item. AC tagged items will have an AC Coin icon on the top left in your inventory.
They can be stored for free in your bank. Non-Misc AC items, when turned in for a quest, merged, or sold can be bought back in account manager at http://account.aq.com.
These include drops, shop items, and quest rewards. The item itself doesn't necessarily need to cost any AC to acquire.
This indicates a Beta Item. Beta items are only available to accounts created during the Alpha testing stage or the Beta testing stage before October 11th 2008.
By definition, all Beta Items are Rare or Pseudo-Rare
This indicates a Rare Item. Rare items are items that were once available but have since had their obtaining method removed from the game (they have left the game, never to return).
Often you can tell if an item is going to go Rare if it has Rare Rarity listed as its rarity in game.
This indicates a Legend Item. Legend items are items that are only buyable and equipable by accounts that have paid for a Membership in AQW. These items will have a golden dragon icon at the top left in your inventory.
Legend Items can only be purchased by an account with an Upgrade. However, Legend Items can still be obtained by free-to-play players through Item drops.
This indicates a Seasonal Item. Seasonal items are items that are only obtainable during certain times of year.
For example, Frostval items are only obtainable during Christmas, and Mogloween items only during Halloween.
Seasonal items have their rarity listed as Seasonal Rarity or Seasonal Rare Rarity.
This indicates a Special Offer Item. This tag has a variety of meanings, but most often items with this tag require a money purchase from Artix Entertainment for ACs, Membership, or a Special Shop.
A notable exception to this rule is the Time Played badges, which are given to the account once it hits a certain number of days played.
This indicates a Pseudo-Rare Item. This is a Rare item that has its method of obtaining locked behind a Rare item or Badge.
People who own the method are still able to access this content.
This indicates an Upholder Item. This is an item that is only available to Upholders. Upholders are accounts that have purchased an Upgrade during the month of October or hold an active membership that expires after November 2nd.
Upholder items can still be accessed by the Upholder during the rest of the year.
This indicates an Temporary Item. This is an item that is only obtained during a player's login session that can be seen / used from the Temporary Inventory. Logging out will clear the item.
Temporary Armors and Pets can be equipped from the Temporary Inventory for them to be visible to other players.
Item Seeking / Sorting, Page Searching, Tags, and New Releases
This section is located to the bottom left of the AQWwiki's Home Page. Clicking any of them will take them to the list of items in that category.
Example: Clicking Armors will take you to a list of all the Armors.
An Example of an item List. This one is for Armor.
<- The items on the page are listed in Alphabetical Order, beginning with items that start with non-Alphabetical names (often items that start with Numbers) and running from A to Z.
You can use CTRL + F to search the page for items, but it's possible that it will not be found. This does not necessarily mean an item does not exist; it simply means the item is not on the page at the moment.
In some cases like the below, there are simply too many Armors beginning with the letter "A". The list will automatically split the list into Pages which can be accessed by pressing the numbers given or the Next button. Make sure to spell your search request correctly!
You may have noticed that there is a section near the very top that looks like this:
Clicking these will take you to a list that has only the type of item specified.
Example: Clicking Non-Rare Free Player will take you to a page that has Items that are:
Not AC
Not Beta
Not Rare
Not Legend
Not Seasonal
Not Special Offer
Not Pseudo-Rare
Not Upholder
The Search features for the wiki are located on the right side of the page.
Clicking Search takes you to two search options:
If you don't know exactly what you're looking for or want a more general search, use the first bar.
Example: Searching for this Forge Quest you don't know how to find on the Wiki. Input the Description into the Search Bar and check the results.
If you know exactly what you're looking for (and how to spell it), use the second bar.
Example: Searching for the Void Highlord page will require you to input "Void Highlord (Class)"
This is slightly more advanced than the previous bar.
To categorize pages on the wiki, tags are used. They're very helpful for finding items of a specific type.
A list of tags can be found on http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/system:page-tags/. Tags with larger fonts will have more items attached to them, while tags with smaller fonts will have less items attached.
Clicking on a tag takes you to a page that lists all the items with the tag.
Example: If you wanted to search for items from shops, click the "shopitem" tag.
List of all Tags on the Wiki (as of Sept. 6th, 2022)
Under the Search dropdown bar, there is an option to search by Tag.
Clicking this takes you to a page where you can request the site for all items with certain tags.
The Search bar shows you how to format your request.
For each tag, you have the choice of either Including the tag or Excluding a tag.
This is determined by a (+) sign or a (-) sign.
Example: If you wanted to find all non-Rare Horc Monsters, you would type,
+horc, +monster, -rare
and hit Search.
If you aren't sure which Tags you want to use, click the [Top Tags] button to open a dropdown list.
If you find a tag you wish to search for, click the (+) button beside the tag name.
If you find a tag you want to leave out, click the (-) button beside the tag name.
Tags can also be found at the bottom of a wiki page.
However, to view these tags you will need to make a wikidot account, log in, then join the site.
Both the Create Account option and the Sign Up option are listed at the top right of the AQWwiki.
<- Creating a New Account requires you to have:
A Username (your Name or Alias)
An Email Address
Your preferred Language (default is English)
A Password
Basic math skills.
After signing up, you may need to verify your account.
Joining the Site: ->
To Join the site, sign in on your Wikidot Account and click the Join this Site link on the left side of the wiki.
This allows you to see Tags at the bottom of pages, below the images and listed in Dark Red:
If you can do this method, you've definitely played too much AQW and have likely also spent way too much time on the wiki.
Using this method is strange at best and crazy at worst.
To use, simply type http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/ followed by your desired page's wiki formatted name. This is even more sensitive to misspellings, dropped formats, and special characters than The Exact Search Bar listed above. Done correctly and you'll find yourself instantly transported to the correct page on the wiki.
Example: For Cysero's Quests page, type out https://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/cysero-s-quests and hitting [Enter].
New Releases
Located at the top left of all pages on the wiki, the New Releases page has all of the changes AQW has gotten during the Current week and the Previous week.
These are usually updated every Friday - Monday, with their information becoming approximately fully accurate around Tuesday onwards.
You can click on the tabs to switch to see what changed on which day.
Scrolling down will show the changes from the previous week.
Chronicle of Releases
At the top of the New Releases page, clicking on Chronicle of Releases will take you to a page with each year in AQW history.
Clicking on a year will take you to a page with all of the changes in that year.
Here, you are able to check the changes from each month, with clickable folders with the dates of each of the changes.
Clicking them shows what was changed on that day:
Items, Quests, and NPCs
At the top, it tells you what kind of weapon it is. Clicking on the links takes you to the list of that type of item.
Items >> Weapons >> Axes.
Location tells you where to obtain the item, be it a Quest, Shop, or Enemy Drop. Clicking the first link will take you to the Wiki page of the method.
Price is how much it would cost to buy the item and Sellback is how much you would get for selling it.
Rarity is generally irrelevant for usage.
Base Damage is how much damage the item deals without any external forces affecting it.
Description is a description of the item's lore in game.
Notes usually have useful information such as what the item is useful for, (for equipment) similar items, whether the item is bugged, and more.
This is rounded out with an image of the item (barring Miscellaneous).
For Quest pages, there can be multiple areas where the NPC gives quests.
Use the links next to Jump to: to get to the relevant area.
The Quest location has the Map where the quest can be found and accepted from.
The Quest Begun From tells you which NPC to get the quest from.
Requirements for the player to accept the quest are listed under Requirements.
Quests for Members only will be marked Legend, meaning only accounts with an Upgrade can accept and complete it.
Items Required for turning in the quest will be listed under Requirements.
Permanent items are listed in Dark Red. Clicking on them will bring you to their respective Wiki pages with their information.
Temporary items are listed in Black. The way to obtain them are listed directly on the quest page.
Rewards are divided into Gold and Exp, followed by Items in a different section.
Permanent items are listed in Dark Red while Temporary items are listed in Black.
Items are either "You will receive at random", "You will receive one of the following", "You may also choose one of", or just "Items".
"You will receive at random": These rewards mean you have a listed chance of obtaining the Item upon turning in a quest. It is usually random and demands luck.
"You will receive one of the following": These rewards will be part of a list. You must receive one of them upon turning in.
This is the one that you can mess with the random chance.
Example:
In this quest, if you have the maximum amount of:
Tainted Gems
Gems of Nulgath
Dark Crystal Shards
Diamonds of Nulgath
Then turning in will *always* give Blood Gems.
Totems of Nulgath
Unidentified 19
Voucher of Nulgath
Voucher of Nulgath (non-mem)
"You may also choose one of": These quests allow you to select one of the items in the list. You are guaranteed to receive the item upon turn in.
"Items": These quests just give you the item(s) upon completion, no strings attached.
The page has the Locations the NPC appears in divided into folders.
Clicking through the folders will show what the NPC says in the listed map.
Dialogue, Quests, Shops, and more will be listed in the folder.
Clicking on the Red Links will take you to the Wiki page for the respective information.
The locations they appear are listed next.
They are marked Seasonal, Rare, or crossed out depending on whether the map is a Seasonal or a Rare map, or if the NPC has been removed from the area.
Notes are found near the bottom of the page.
It often lists Armor and other NPCs that looks like this NPC.
It can also list the same NPC under a different name.
At the bottom there is a series of folders with images showing how the NPC looks in the maps that it is in.

For Quests and Maps you have trouble with, it is possible to find walkthrough videos on YouTube.
Before following any advice from the YouTube video, make sure:
It is up to date.
You do not listen to YouTubers about which Classes to get (with exceptions).
You do not listen to YouTubers on what Enhancements Classes should use (with exceptions).
You do not look to YouTubers for which Weapons are strongest (with exceptions).
In short, do not listen to YouTubers for anything that has to do with mechanics (again, with exceptions). They are there to entertain, not teach.
