THE TABLE OF CONTENTS
The Grimgaol is a Dungeon made by Grimskull for the purposes of Trolling the player.
It is a series of fights with varying mechanics.
As such, we will address the solution to the fight below.
There are eight rooms with mechanics.
They are respectively:
Screen 1: Grimskull? -(Dummy Room)
Screen 2: Grim Bombs -(3 Bombs Room)
Screen 3: Empress Angler -(1st Angler Room)
Screen 5: Reinforced Shelletons -(3 Shelletons Room)
Screen 6: Fell Statues -(3 Statues Room)
Screen 7: Emperor Angler -(2nd Angler Room)
Screen 10: Nechro Liches and Cyborg -(3 Liches / 1 Cyborg Room)
Screen 11: Mechabinky & Raxborg -(Mechabinky Room)
The other rooms have no mechanics. Just kill them with whatever you want.
General recommendations:
Make sure you have Boosted Weapons. They can be found on the Progress Checks page and will make a significant impact.
Make sure you have the Classes or Enhancements listed in each of the subsections.
Please jump to each section to see what you need to prepare, as they are pretty much all independent.
Grimskull? Dummy: 200,000 HP
10k Boss Shield
Windup + Retaliate:
At 90%, 60%, 30% HP it will absorb the damage received and unleash it after 7 seconds.
Solution:
Basically, the Dummy counterattacks.
Press your Escape [ESC] key or the red ❌ on the monster’s portrait when he announces he's casting Windup.
If instead, your class has Spinning Dragon in its Skills, you can use it to parry the Retaliate and avoid the waiting.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Most classes can clear this room thanks to Retaliate only reflecting damage received. If you don’t attack, he won’t deal any damage.
Dragonsoul Shinobi/Shadow Dragon Shinobi and Martial Artist have on demand Spinning Dragon (parry) in their kit.
Forge Enhancements:
Praxis can be used on classes that target the enemy with their 2 skill. This can also be used to parry the Retaliate hit.
Grim Bomb x3: 100,000 HP each
NO Boss Shield
Countdown + Retaliate:
Once combat begins, they will instakill the player after 60 seconds.
This countdown is shared between all three of the Bombs, so you can't just take a breather after you've finished one off.
Solution:
Basically, use a strong Farming (AoE - Area of Effect) class and kill them all quickly.
A strong single target class will also work, but you'll have on average only 20 seconds to kill each bomb.
You can rest and re-equip items before attacking and the bombs will wait patiently until you attack any of them.
However, if you've attacked already, do not stop until all three are dead.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Most decent Farming classes can deal enough damage to kill the bombs in time.
You want to at least have classes like Master Ranger, Shaman, Chaos Slayer, Eternal Inversionist, and ArchFiend.
ArchPaladin and Blaze Binder are highly recommended because they are also useful in future rooms.
Empress Angler: 500,000 HP
50k Boss Shield
Chomp:
Auto Attack: Bites you for 20% of Max HP.
Fish Breath:
Every 5 seconds:
Bites you for 30% of Max HP.
Reduces Healing by 50% for 12 seconds.
Smell Blood + Devour + Bottom Feeder:
Charges for 12 seconds and then instakills the player if the player is not fully healed.
If the player is at 100% HP, deals only 400-500 damage.
Regenerates after trying to eat the player alive.
Solution:
Reduce your HP and use either a Lifesteal or Healing class.
Heal to full before she eats you.
Decay can stop her from Regenerating after Devour.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Classes with strong Lifesteal or Healing.
Classes with Decay are optional but helpful.
ArchPaladin (Healing), Verus DoomKnight (Decay, Lifesteal and Heal over Time), Legion DoomKnight (Lifesteal and Decay), Legion Revenant (Decay and Heal over Time)
Awe Enhancements:
Health Vamp (Lifesteal) will be very helpful for regaining HP with your Auto Attacks so your Heal skills are ready for the HP check when the Angler uses Devour.
Forge Enhancements:
If your class relies on Healing to recover, like ArchPaladin, do not use Vainglory, as that will slash your Healing.
You may use Vainglory if your class relies on lifesteal for recovery, like Legion DoomKnight.
Using traited Forge Helmets are recommended, as they reduce your Endurance and HP so you need to heal less to get to Max HP.
Treasure Chest: 50,000 HP
5k Boss Shield
Solution:
Just kill it with any class.
Do not drink its drop, because it will kill you.
Reinforced Shelleton x3: 300,000 HP each
NO Boss Shield
Spin2Win:
Applies Light Speed to itself with every auto, buffing its Outgoing Damage by 5% per stack.
If Light Speed is active, 20% chance to gain Ludicrous Speed, increasing Dodge to 5000%.
If Light Speed is active, 10% chance of crashing, removing Light Speed, Ludicrous Speed, and stunning the Shelleton while massively reducing its defenses.
Solution:
Use Lifesteal. When a turtle crashes, focus on that one.
This room has randomness involved so it is possible to watch the turtles never flip, warranting a reset.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Classes with strong, frequent Heals or Lifesteals are good options, as Lifesteals will still restore HP even if the attack misses.
Blaze Binder (Heal and counterattack), ArchPaladin (Healing), Legion DoomKnight (Lifesteal), StoneCrusher (Heal over Time), Martial Artist (Healing and Heal over Time), The Collector (Lifesteal), Dragon of Time (Percentage based Lifesteal), Verus DoomKnight (Lifesteal and Heal over Time), ArchMage (Heal over Time).
Forge Enhancements:
Penitence helps survivability in between turtle flips.
Fell Statue x3: 50,000 HP each
1k Boss Shield
Sword Swing:
True Damage attacks that ignore your Damage Resistance.
Lightning Blade:
Every 5k HP lost, Fell statues gain 200% Increased Critical Damage for 6 seconds, stackable.
Solution:
Switch targets every 5k HP while using single target classes OR stop attacking with AoE classes to allow the Lightning Blade aura to fade.
Very few classes can survive Fell Statues with multiple stacks of boosts.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Frostval Barbarian, Legion DoomKnight, Verus DoomKnight, ArchMage, King's Echo, Hollowborn Vindicator
Emperor Angler: 750,000 HP
50k Boss Shield
Chomp:
Auto Attack: Bites you for 25% of Max HP.
Fish Breath:
Every 7 seconds:
Bites you for 40% of Max HP.
Reduces Healing by 75% for 12 seconds.
Feeding Frenzy:
At 600k HP, 450k HP, 300k HP, and 150k HP, he will deal 60% of your max HP and enter Feeding Frenzy for 10 seconds.
During this time all attacks will instakill the player if below half health.
Solution:
Reduce your HP and use either a Lifesteal or Healing class.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Classes with strong Lifesteal or Healing.
Legion Doomknight (Lifesteal), Verus Doomknight (Lifesteal and Heal over Time), Chaos Avenger (Lifesteal and Heal over Time), Dragon of Time (Lifesteal and Heal over Time), Martial Artist (Healing and Heal over Time)
Awe Enhancements:
Health Vamp (Lifesteal) will be very helpful for regaining HP with your Auto Attacks so your Heal skills are ready for the HP check when the Angler uses Feeding Frenzy.
Forge Enhancements:
If your class relies on Healing to recover, like ArchPaladin, do not use Vainglory, as that will slash your Healing.
You may use Vainglory if your class relies on lifesteal for recovery, like Legion DoomKnight.
Using traited Forge Helmets are recommended, as they reduce your Endurance and HP so you need to heal less to get over Half HP.
Treasure Chest: 50,000 HP
5k Boss Shield
Mimicry:
Every 10 seconds:
Hits you for 75% of Max HP.
Stuns you for 2 seconds.
Solution:
Rest before attacking.
Kill it with any class that can heal quickly and dish out damage fast enough to kill it.
Do not drink its drop, because it will kill you.
Recommendations:
Classes: Void Highlord, Chaos Avenger, Dragon of Time, Verus Doomknight
Rick, Grim Soldier: 200,000 HP
50k Boss Shield
Rick's Fury:
Activates at around 40k HP:
Regains up to 90% of Max HP.
Gains permanent 5000% Crit Chance and gains 50% Damage Resistance.
Solution:
Rest before attacking.
Kill it with any class that can heal quickly and dish out damage fast enough to kill it.
You can stun Rick before Rick's Fury activates and skip his Phase 2 entirely.
This can also be done by blowing past 40k HP with a large enough nuke, likely because the trigger is only set between a certain threshold.
Recommendations:
Classes: Classes with strong Soloing capabilities.
Classes with Stun are optional but helpful.
Void Highlord, Chaos Avenger, Dragon of Time, Verus Doomknight
Lycan (Stun skip), The Collector (Stun skip), Undead Goat (Stun skip)
Arcana Invoker (Nuke skip), ArchPaladin (Nuke skip)
Mechro Lich x3: 150,000 HP each
50k Boss Shield
Rampaging Cyborg: 200,000 HP
50k Boss Shield
Liches:
Resistance Shred:
Debuffs the player's Damage Resistance and Magic Resistance by 3% for 10 seconds, stackable.
Cyborg:
Invincible:
Mechro Liches must be killed before the Cyborg can be damaged.
Rampage:
When a Mechro Lich is killed, the Cyborg will start gaining Crit Damage indefinitely.
Solution:
The Mechro Liches lower your defenses.
It’s important to maintain the Mechro Liches HP as close as possible to each other as they approach death.
If you are stuck killing the other Liches, the Cyborg may kill you.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Blaze Binder, Legion Revenant, ArchMage, Dragon of Time, Sovereign of Storms, Verus Doomknight, King's Echo, Hollowborn Vindicator
Mechabinky & Raxborg: 1,000,000 HP
50k Boss Shield

Charges for 2 seconds.
Activates Stat Steal.
Hits you for 49% of current HP.
Reduces player Evasion, Outgoing Damage, Crit Chance and Crit Damage by 10%, which wears off after 25 seconds.
Increases its own Evasion, Outgoing Damage, Crit Chance and Crit Damage by 10%, which does not wear off.
Blood Frenzy:
Activated at 600,000 HP
Increases its Crit Chance by 5000% and Evasion by 150% for 8 seconds.
Heals itself for 100,000 HP
This can be decayed.
Unleashed Chaos:
Activated at 400,000 HP
Increases its Evasion by 60% and Haste by 100%.

Self Destruct Initiated:
Activated at 100,000 HP
Reduces its Evasion and Damage Resistance by 100%.

Important Un-scheduled Mechanics:
Contracts of the Abyss:
Various increasing player Debuffs if used in succession.
First use reduces Damage Resistance by 50%
Peer:
Increases player Mana Costs by 100% for 5 seconds OR
Reduces player Hit Chance by 50% for 5 seconds

Essence Draining:
Stuns player for 3 seconds.
Reduces player Outgoing Damage by 40% and Outgoing Healing by 60%
Silence:
Any skills that cost mana are unusable for 3 seconds.
Solution:
Mechabinky & Raxborg have a ridiculous arsenal for the player to overcome.
Thankfully, some classes can clear it with relative ease, assuming you don’t have very bad luck.
When Contrarium is activated, do not use direct Healing skills.
If you have a Scroll of Decay, you can use it on Blood Frenzy.
Recommendations:
Classes:
Classes that make use of skills with no mana cost are unhindered by the Silence mechanic.
Classes with AutoHit help with the ridiculous evasion Mechabinky & Raxborg are capable of.
You will take a significant beating during this fight, so classes with powerful recovery are recommended.
Recommended Classes: Void HighLord, Dragon of Time, Hollowborn Vindicator
