Queen Iona's Challenge Fight has been nerfed significantly since its inception.
However, it is still a Boss Fight with mechanics.
As such, we will address the solution to the fight below.
She buffs herself and debuffs the player as the fight drags on, so it is best to kill her quickly with a Boss Soloing DPS class.
Queen Iona has a Boss Shield. This makes most Chrono Classes unusable here as you will rely on DPS to break through rather than large nukes.
Suggested classes include VHL, CAv, CSS.
Our tutorial video uses The Collector class as an example.
Suggested potions include Unstable Velocity Elixir to negate her Fulminate ability and Felicitious Philtre to boost Luck (Crit Chance / Crit Damage / misc improvements) for speed.
Suggested to use Penitence (Forge Cape Enhancement) to counteract some of her Defense reduction.
Applies Electrocuted to players, -10% Haste, -15% Damage Resistance, and -25% Magical Resistance for 20 seconds.
If Supercell is active, has a 30% chance to apply Ion Shift, causing Roaring Thunder to apply a Charge with the opposite effect.
Solution:
These are General Debuffs and can be negated with Unstable Velocity or Classes that overcap Haste.
This attack can cause the charges to invert beginning in Phase 2.
Applies either Positive Charge or Negative Charge to the player.
Negative Charge reduces Damage Resistance and Magical Resistance by 5000%.
Positive Charge does nothing on its own.
If Ion Shift is active, the applied Charge will have the opposite effect.
Solution:
This can be intimidating at first, but its just the internal definitions of how the zone mechanic works.
As long as you enter the correct zones, nothing will happen.
The zones will always be on either side of the screen.
Icons will appear above your head, each with their own effects:
⚠️In Phase One, it will always be:⚠️
Red Icon telling you to run to the Green Zone.
Green Icon telling you to run to the Red Zone.
You can think of it as a Magnet.
Positive and Positive = Bad.
Negative and Negative = Bad.
⚠️In Phase Two, Ion Shift will apply a Yellow Icon warning you to enter the opposite zone as before:⚠️
Yellow Icon + Green Icon tells you to run to Green Zone.
Yellow Icon + Red Icon tells you to run to Red Zone.
Applies Neutralized to players that are standing in the green zone and have either the Negative Charge or the Positive Charge? effect, removing them.
Applies Overcharged to players that are standing in the green zone and have either the Positive Charge or Negative Charge? effect, reducing Damage Resistance and Magical Resistance by 5000%.
Only damages players that are standing in the green zone.
Solution:
This just checks if you have the correct zone.
If you are in the wrong zone, you die.
Applies Supercell to self, increasing Crit Damage by 100% and outgoing damage by 50%.
Used at 70% Remaining HP (700,000)
Solution:
Phase 2 is basically a strength barrier. If you struggle to survive on Phase 2, you will die in Phase 3.
Use a Potion or Class that is able to weather the extra damage.
Applies Queen of Skye to self, increasing Crit Damage by 200% and outgoing magical damage by 10%.
Used at 40% Remaining HP (400,000)
Solution:
Phase 3 is the final push of the fight. With all the buffs and mechanics in play, Iona is at full strength.
As long as you can survive and continue to dish out damage, you will win.
