A. What you need 必要なもの

• A computer with PowerPoint and Word (or Pages, Google Docs)

コンピュータ（PowerPointとWord・Pages・Google Docsなどのワープロソフト）

• You need to switch back and forth between PowerPoint and Word.

PowerPointとWordの間を切り替えながら学習します。

• If you cannot switch to Word while a slide show is running, use a notebook and handwriting instead.

PowerPointのスライドショーを走らせたままWordに切り替えることができない場合、ノートブックに手書きで文章を書くこと。

B. Important Points 重要点

• You need to A) understand main points of a passage, and B) paraphrase it with your own words.

A) パッセージの重要点を理解すること、B) 自分の言葉で言い換えること、が大事です。

• Copying the passage word by word will give you a low score.

パッセージを丸写しするとBenchmark Testでは点が低くなります。

C. Process 学習の仕方

1. Click the link and open the PowerPoint file (you have to log in to Microsoft.com with your APU email account).

リンクをクリックしてPowerPointファイルを開く（Microsoft.comにAPUのEメールアドレスでログインすること）。

2. Open a new document with Word.

Wordで新規文書を作る。

3. Start the slide show.

PowerPointのスライドショーをスタートする。

4. Once you start the slide show, DO NOT stop it until the end. It will automatically play through.

スライドショーを始めたら、最後まで途中で止めないこと。自動的にスライドが変わります。

5. Follow the directions on the slides. You have 30 seconds to read a passage, 90 seconds to rewrite it.

スライドの指示に従がうこと。パッセージを読む時間は30秒間、書く時間は90秒間。

6. As soon as a passage disappears, go back to the Word document to rewrite the passage with your own words.

パッセージが消えたら、Wordに切り替えて（スライドショーを止めない）自分の言葉でパッセージの内容をまとめます。

7. You will hear a "door-bell" alarm at 90 seconds. When you hear it, come back to the slide show.

90秒経つとドアベルのアラームが鳴ります。ベルの音がしたらスライドショーの画面に戻る。

8. Move on to the next passage. Repeat (5) through (7) till the end.

次のパッセージに備える。スライドショーの終わりまで(5)~(7)を繰り返す。

9. After finishing all the passages, stop the slide show to check original passage. Compare them with your writing.

全てのパッセージが終わったら、スライドショーを止めて元のパッセージを読みなおす。自分の書いたものと比べて間違いなどを検討する。

3. When you open a link, click on the timer right away and start your writing.

4. After you finish writing, click on "Model answer" down below. Review your writing based on the model answer.

書き終わったら、下のModel Answerをクリックしてください。解答例に基づいて、自分の文章を見直してください。
