Centrally located in downtown Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city, Chulalongkorn University has long been at the center of national development, and by building on its rock-solid foundations, the university is now helping to create a sustainable and innovative society. The Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, or Chula Engineering, was established by King Vajiravudh in honor of his father, King Chulalongkorn the Great, on June 1st, 1913, making it the first engineering institute in the kingdom. Later in 2005, the International School of Engineering or ISE was established by Chula Engineering in order to provide interdisciplinary knowledge with international experience.
We believe that a prosperous and sustainable future will be built through innovation in engineering technologies but this requires solid intellectual foundations, and so Chula Engineering’s ground-breaking curricula have been developed to ensure that our graduates are not just highly skilled but also fully equipped to be leaders of industry and society. In addition, to maintain an environment that nurtures creative and innovative learning, we provide a range of outstanding services and resources, including advanced research and teaching amenities, world-class athletics facilities, access to central and specialist libraries, gold-standard IT support, and high-quality international housing, all of which is available to serve our community.
