There are heaps of ways to play, interact and earn in Apricorn Crest to find the way you enjoy the group best!
Goes without saying, RP is the biggest chunk of this group!
Please make sure to communicate with other players and have fun, there will be public rooms on the server (especially for events)
but feel free to rp off server as well!
There's no wrong way to play, if you'd rather draw interactions or write them its completely up to you!
Art and Lit earn the same amount of G and exp
Following the traditions of Story of Seasons/Rune Factory each character has their own heart charts,
hearts can be earnt through gifts from the shops and events!
Once you reach 15 hearts you may opt to move your characters in together and/or throw a group event wedding.
Each Month a new list of quests will be listed, this is an easy way to grab a prompt as well as earn some unique items and bonus G/EXP/Hearts.
Some of these quests could be dangerous, including monster bounties! but remember Higher risks come with higher rewards.
Group events will play out bi-monthly, these will include and overall theme such as a festival or global event, mini events, event prompts/games and prizes.
These are totally optional but a fun way to meet and play with groups of players as well as earn your characters extra G/EXP/Hearts
Each month as long as you submit one art/lit work of your character related to their job you qualify for a 500 G/EXP payslip! and If you include any other characters you both earn a Heart in your Heart charts for one another!
Combat in this world uses Dice mechanics, combat should be taken seriously as injury is possible as well as character death (unless you purchase a revival)
Pokemon moves effect if you use a strength, intelligence or wisdom modifier to your rolls. They do not effect overall power.
Physical moves add a strength Modifier
Special moves add an Intelligence modifier
Status moves add a Wisdom modifier
When fighting you must roll a D20 for your own attack as well as the enemy, a battle should go as following
Player Rolls a D20 for their characters attack with "Ice beam - special move" (eg: Character rolls a 12 + 2 modifier)
Outcome is then subtracted from Targets HP (eg: Target started at 50 HP, now reduced to 36/50 HP
Player Rolls a D2O for Targets Attack to player with "close combat - physical move" (eg: Target Rolls a 5 + 5 modifier)
Outcome is then subtracted from characters HP (eg: Character started at 50HP, now reduced to 40/50 HP )
If a player/target rolls a nat 1, the attack misses.
If a player/target rolls a nat 20, the attack crits and hits for 50 instead.
Feel free to rp and put as much flavour text as you like between each strike, but please keep battle at one move each per round.
You may use items at any time and flee at any time.
Players may generate their own wild pokemon at anytime to fight in rp, these should always spawn at 50 hp.
Monster pokemon are only generated via the quest board, these will have unique stats and be harder to take down.
You can have multiple characters! Earning and purchasing Inn Keys or House deeds at the shop allows for both new permanent characters and visitors!
Keep in mind Visitors will have to leave for 6 months and wait a following month before they can grab another Inn Key (they can only mooch for so long) This is great way to play and test new characters you'd like to add before making them permanent residents of Apricorn Crest.
Evolutions are possible in this world and progression is completely optional. Perhaps your Charmander stayed one all through his youth until he left home and became a Charmeleon, or perhaps your Bulbasaur stayed as a Bulbasaur through their whole life.
However if your character is a Blastoise, then at one stage they had to be a Squirtle and Wartortle.
Once your character is a Resident of Apricorn Crest they will need to purchase an Elixir to progress their evolution.
Visitors may change their evolution on their month off between visit.
