Statistics finds its applications in varied fields such as Data Mining, Model Building, Operations Research, Bio-Statistics, Forecasting, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and many more. We, the students of M. Sc. In Applied Statistics and Analytics, have in-depth knowledge in the aforementioned fields. We are fluent in software and programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, MS-Excel, SPSS, SAS. Besides the course curriculum, the students are working on various projects in Statistical Model building, Time Series Analysis, Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis which equipped them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-time problems and to hone their technical as well as interpersonal skills.

We, as statisticians, are highly trained to examine and explore big data and recommend how to manage data properly to ease data analysis.

We, as statisticians, instead of taking decisions in ad-hoc or purposeful way, can apply technical, academic expertise and experience to provide statistical advice on the basis of insight through data.

In the era of big data, we observe the increasing demand for machine learning and artificial intelligence in various industrial sectors. In the third and fourth semester, we dedicatedly study the detailed algorithms of Machine learning and its application.

 A Student of Applied Statistics and Analytics can be an important part of your team and is capable of handling tasks with an analytical bend of mind us to perform as a – Statistician, Statistical Programmer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Biostatistician, consultants and many more.
