Abstract

When a tooth is diagnosed with simultaneous diseases of the dental pulp, periodontium, and the tooth, regarding whether such teeth should be preserved or removed and replaced with dental implants or bridges to restore function and aesthetics. If preservation is desired, it requires undergoing root canal treatment, periodontal therapy, and restorative treatment. On the other hand, extraction with immediate implant placement is also a viable option. Nowadays, dentistry has numerous advanced technologies and equipment such as dental operating microscopes, laser instruments, digital oral scanning, and in-office computer-aided restorative systems, each forming a distinct field of study. The challenge lies in integrating these fields to enable practitioners to execute treatment more efficiently. This presentation utilizes a common clinical indication as an example to illustrate how these three fields can be integrated and applied, transforming a treatment that typically requires at least six appointments into a one-day, all-in-one treatment.
