Abstract
Beyond implant: Abutment Connection & Transmucosal Management

Preservation of the crestal bone has always been the one of the paramount factors in creating a successful implant restoration. Many implant and abutment designs allow platform switching and hopefully reduce or prevent bone loss. Beyond these technological designs, the impact of transmucosal management also affect the outcome of the prosthesis. In this presentation, the factors that is important for predictable bone preservation and its impact on esthetics will be explored and discussed.
