Production Review/Argumentative Script Analysis
Throughout the course of the semester, you must complete one production review and one argumentative script analysis.
You may choose which assignment to complete during 3rd quarter, and which to complete during 4th quarter. Keep in mind that there will be more WCPSS plays and musicals in production in March and April - don't wait until the last minute!
You may attend the preview performance of our spring musical, 9 to 5, on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:00 pm (for free!) and use this for your production review. Save the date!
These assignments are due on Canvas by midnight on the day of the deadline, and may be submitted early and in any order. A list of upcoming production at Wake County Schools will be posted under Canvas announcements.
Deadline for Quarter 3 - Thursday, March 13th
Deadline for Quarter 4 - Friday, May 16th

Regional Shakespeare Competition – Thursday, February 13th at 5:30 pm - Kenan Hall, William Peace University – extra credit for those who attend!
Midterm Performance (Theatre IV Directs) – Tuesday, March 4th at 6:00 pm (Call time 5:30)
III/IV Show – Put these dates on your calendar now!
· March 5-7 - Audition Workshop & Prep (in class)
· March 10-13 – Auditions & Callbacks. Prepare a one-minute monologue. If you are in chorus, be prepared to audition on March 10th. Everyone be prepared to stay until 3:15 on March 13th to finish callbacks, if necessary. The cast list will be posted on March 14th (teacher workday)
· March 17 - Read-Thru! Stay after school until 3:15
· March 18-20 - After School Rehearsal 2:30-3:45
· March 24-26 – After School Rehearsal 2:30-3:45
· April 9 – After School Rehearsal 2:30-4:30
· April 11 – Tentative After School Rehearsal 2:30-3:45
· April 14 – After School Rehearsal 2:30-4:30
· Aril 17 – After School Rehearsal 2:30-3:45
· April 21 – Load-In!
· April 22-25 – After School Rehearsal 2:30-4:30
· April 28 – Tentative After School Rehearsal 2:30-4:30 (National Shakespeare Comp?)
· April 29-May 1 – After School Tech Rehearsal, 2:30-5:30
· May 5-6 – After School Dress Rehearsal 2:30-5:30. Afternoon AP exams are excused absences for these rehearsals (but we appreciate if you join us when your exam is finished!!) No other absences allowed.
· May 7 - Preview Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00
· May 8 - Opening! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00
· May 9 – Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00
· May 10 – Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00
*If you have morning AP exams, you ARE expected to attend 4th period and after school rehearsals for the production. Afternoon AP exams are considered an excused absence.
Final Performance (Sketch Comedy) – Wednesday, June 4th, call time 5:30 pm. Performance begins at 6:00.
End of Year Banquet and ITS Award Ceremony - Friday, June 6th, 4:00-7:00 pm.
