Production Review/Argumentative Script Analysis
Throughout the course of the semester, you must complete one production review and one argumentative script analysis.
You may choose which assignment to complete during 3rd quarter, and which to complete during 4th quarter. Keep in mind that there will be more WCPSS plays and musicals in production in March and April - don't wait until the last minute!
These assignments are due on Canvas by midnight on the day of the deadline, and may be submitted early and in any order. A list of upcoming production at Wake County Schools will be posted under Canvas announcements.
Deadline for Quarter 3 - Friday, March 13th
Deadline for Quarter 4 - Friday, May 15th
Important Dates
OPTIONAL - Regional Shakespeare Competition – Thursday, February 12th at 5:30 pm - Kenan Hall, William Peace University – extra credit for those who attend, including for those who are selected to perform.
MANDATORY - Midterm Performance (Theatre IV Directs) – Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 pm (Call time 5:30)
OPTIONAL - National Shakespeare Competition – Saturday, April 25th-Tuesday, April 28th, New York City! Finals will take place in the Mitzi Newhouse Theatre at Lincoln Center

May 4 – Dress Rehearsal 3:30-6:00 (Delayed start due to staff meeting) Afternoon AP exams are excused absences for this rehearsal (but we appreciate if you join us when your exam is finished!!) No other absences allowed.
May 5 – Dress Rehearsal 2:30-5:30 Afternoon AP exams are excused absences for this rehearsal (but we appreciate if you join us when your exam is finished!!) No other absences allowed.
May 6 - Preview Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00; No absences allowed
May 7 - Opening! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00; No absences allowed
May 8 – Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00; No absences allowed
May 9 – Performance! Call time 6:00, show at 7:00; No absences allowed
*If you have morning AP exams, you ARE expected to attend 4th period and after school rehearsals for the production. Afternoon AP exams are considered an excused absence.
*You will have an opportunity to submit conflicts for this rehearsal process. However, you must be available for tech, dress, and performances in order to take this class.
MANDATORY - Final Performance – Wednesday, June 3rd, call time 5:30 pm. Performance begins at 6:00.
OPTIONAL - End of Year Banquet and ITS Award Ceremony - Friday, June 5th, 4:00-6:30 pm.
