Every audio file has data associated with it. When you select a file, it will display the data in the field below the Audio Library display. All of this information is stored in the audio file tag, and some of this information is stored in the filename of the audio.
Don't forget to regularly Save Changes as editing!!

Cart Number: may be 2 - 8 alpha-numeric digits in length. Do NOT use symbols.
Title: up to 30 digits in length.
Text/Artist: up to 30 digits in length. For music files, this is the Artist field. For other types, it may be an additional sorting field.
Time or length: The length of the audio file as seen by APEX.
File Type: Some types are specifically assigned, while others are assigned at the discretion of the user.
M = Music
S or C = Spot. Spots MUST be type S or C in order to pull up a spot log for reconciliation with traffic & billing.
A = Auto-fill for replacing non-existing carts or carts before/after start/kill dates.
Every file type displays as a different color in the APEX Live software.
Tag Text: Create custom notes about specific songs.
Start & Stop Date & Hr: Set the start & stop date & hr for any file. In the example, the Summerfest spot will begin playing at 9 am on July 4th, end on the 14th at the end of the 6 pm hour.
Start & End Time: Instead of editing the audio file for silence, a custom start & end time may be applied to files individually.
Select the file.
Click on the play button to cue.
Click on Mark to set time.
The time may be manually entered, as well.
In Time to Voice & EOM: the in time marks when the DJ should stop speaking. The EOM, sets the mark for the overlap time at the end of the file for a tight crossfade.
Select the file.
Click on play button to cue.
Click on Mark to set.
In time & EOM may be manually entered as well.
Volume: Sets the play volume of file for every time it plays.
Fade In: Custom fade set from 0 - 15.
Fade Out: Custom fade set from 0 - 15.
End Cue: Sets the length of the cue play for start/end & in time/EOM.
EOM Button: Automatically set the EOM for a file that has NOT had a Start/End Time or Fade In or Out set.
Auto-Edit button:
Trim silence
Normalize audio so that there will be a consistent audio level w other normalized audio files
Re-encode to wav or MP3 if different than settings.
Edit File button:
Trim & normalize either manually or using the Auto-level & Auto-trim buttons.
